Uncle Buddy's Agritourist Farm and Learning Center Extension Programs

Highly motivated students and adults, with an interest in sustainable agriculture, sustainable food systems business and survival skills, are encouraged to apply for this 10-week (April 14-June14, 2021) individualized summer research and extension experiences.
After-school and Saturday participants will learn about plumbing, landscaping, gleaning fields/gardens/orchards, agritourism business, and Survival 202. Other sustainable agriculture and community food systems operations from a broad systems perspective will be experienced, while receiving close mentorship and access to cutting edge research and professional development training.
Participants do not need any previous research or extension experience. Members of demographic groups that are underrepresented in the sciences (S.T.E.M.) are especially encouraged to apply.
Uncle Buddyas Agritourist Farm and Learning Center Extension Programs components through the Uncle Buddyas Program will provide participants with diverse research, education, extension and professional development opportunities focused on healthy independent living along with sustainable agriculture and food systems.
Students and adults will work with their Shadowing mentors on research for 1-4 hours each week, and will participate in professional development training.
